crash at maxshipslots-counter

What steps will reproduce the problem?
I have changed the amount of Maxshipslots (fleet size mod like) per research. 
Everytime ill go with my cursor over that inicator its crashing.

Changes are: Research is like every level needs to be researches 3 times to 
unlock next stage. Maybe thats the clue?

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
DMP crash

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.34 Diplomacy, 0.5D1 with changed maxshipslots values.
Maybe even without maxshipslotchange? (im was dumb to not have the data 
backuped, cause i was sure to know what im doing.)

Please provide any additional information below.

okay ive found out something: it is because of the MaxNumResearchLevels which i 
set from 1 to 3.

could you give me, if you have, some help to fix that stuff?

is there a possibilty to change or even disable the "pop-up" which comes when 
you go over the mapships-indicator in the top-bar.

looks like that is the problem.

Your problem is you're changing something that doesn't work.  The MaxSlotLevel 
modifier isn't a value we can play with.  Increasing it three times per level 
gets you more than the allotted table.  Pay attention to your error messages, 
you should be using dev exe to test changes one by one.

Further expansion of fleet research is easily done, just the way you're 
attempting.
