Concerning the adaptive layout. I think we don't need more than desktop and mobile
Nothing specific for tablets?
I think it will depends wether we're going to a full redesign or not. But, since the width of the text boxes and the width of the site itself, I think it's pretty adapted to the tablets. Or do you think of something more app orientated ?

Can be a solution for the "ooooold" date bug. What do you think about it?
I like it, especially if the clock is real. Is it a new design for every width, or only when the window width < 1080 ?
(I kind of fixed it yesterday with a media query, but it's ugly :-)
Really good idea for the "real clock"! So we have to indicates the hour in this place too. (I mean, Like this: 13/09/12 13h43 )
For the adaptive layout, I think that we have to proceed step by step for this project... Perhaps at the begining do we have to fixe all the bug for the < 1080 windows width: Auteurs, Dates, redesign column and comments...)
We should studying this adaptive layout/mobile version in a second time, with the "effective new design", shouldn't we? What are you thinking about it?
PS: I work actually on the "Auteurs" page redesign.
If you want to make it right now, I think the solution to fixe this problem is something like this: (Are we finally just making a "Mobile version", or an adaptive layout... :))

Agree, we will work in a new branch for the new design with adaptive layout. Pending this, we should fix the “< 1080 problems”, but only if the solutions seems interesting for the next design iteration. Also, I think the “new new design” should be started near from scratch, with the “mobile first” in mind.
100% agree
If we are going for a new design, it will be cool to keep the characters, I think. What do you have in mind for a new design ?

Don't know exactly, @ericlebihan ... Just think that it could be good to give to this site a new fresh thrust !
I can work a little bit in a global redesign in the coming days... If someone at an idea or want to make some proposals... It could be good!
(For my part, I think that "redesign" isn't the good word. "Refresh" is perhaps better)
I think we got to keep the "integriste" identity. 4 years later I still LOVE the character you've designed Gregoire. Any idea to keep it while giving a new refreshed version ?

I think: Of course we have to keep it! I meaned just reviewing the global structure and some specifics points (Columns, bugs, fonts, comments, article pages, ready-for-adaptive layout, ... )
But if someone have good ideas to change some "important design points", why not? (For example, I proposed to included a map on the illustration header with a geolocalisation of a user... Or adding more characters on the illustration when the last article was many commented... This is just some examples, and perhaps bad ones, but... Do you know what I mean?)
I could be fun to have a map globe with one of the character moving to the land of the user (you see the animation ?)

Hi everybody,
I've made some research for the fonts and some little points... This pages aren't definives ones, but we can have an idea of the changements from the actual website to the new one...
So,
The homepage:
The article page:
You don't have to carry about the header, the search and twitter boxes. For the column, I want to take this kind of colors, but the design should be reviewed.
What do you think about:
The next week i will be on holiday for a week. It seem, that I can't work on our blog for a short time. But I come back home the 07 october, with time to work on it. :) Do you want to see some explicit points before friday? Do you need some specific stuffs to work?
Otherwise work I on the comments and the forms.
You also have to keep im mind that, with this new font-size, the article pages will be really longer als the actual pages.
About the article page, I find it lacks spacing between the article content and the sidebar :/

What do you think about:
- The fonts is used? (Museo Sans / Adelle Web)
- The overall spirit/feeling?
- The view of "Articles" and "Notes" in the homepage's center column?
- Do you have some idea, some points ro review?

// Guillaume kaneel Richard http://mynameiskaneel.com // With many lower than 3
You're totally right, @kaneel. I just work with an online application wo don't let me a lot of possibilities to change my margins...
For the real version, we have to change it anyway.
I can not load the beta.typecastapp.com pages (request timeout), could you upload the visuals somewhere else?
You can host files here: https://github.com/lesintegristes/lesintegristes-theme/downloads
About the fonts, just an observation (without having seen the proposals): they are both proprietary (while the theme is open source), and we will have to pay Typekit to use them.
I already have a Typekit account. We can use it. But perhaps do you mean that it could be bether to use some non-proprietary fonts?
I've posted some screencaps: https://github.com/lesintegristes/lesintegristes-theme/downloads
Perhaps do you think it's just not the good way to make our redesign... I've making the text bigger: it's just a choice. Do you want to see something different?
For a good job, we have to speak honestly about it.
OK I saw them, good job! I think it’s the right path.
For a good job, we have to speak honestly about it.
Absolutely, the same for me. We need to be efficient if we want to progress fast on the redesign: useful comments, clear intentions, actions. :-)
But perhaps do you mean that it could be bether to use some non-proprietary fonts?
Yes, we can afford a Typekit subscription, but I’m not comfortable with the requirement of a “proprietary component” to fully enable an open source theme. That said: you know better if these fonts could be replaced by OSS ones without compromises. After all, our theme is not meant to be used “as is”. It needs customization, and fonts can be changed. Your choice.
Perhaps do you think it's just not the good way to make our redesign... I've making the text bigger: it's just a choice. Do you want to see something different?
I like the text bigger. Maybe the line-height of the content could be made lower to improve the readability?
What do you think about: The overall spirit/feeling?
Definitely better. Clearer. I like the new sidebar boxes. But the contrast could be improved, especially on the news.
The view of "Articles" and "Notes" in the homepage's center column? Do you have some idea, some points ro review?
What do you think about adding a box below the header to show the latest articles, instead of a box in the sidebar?
Also I think we need to clarify the workflow. I will open a new issue (in french) to discuss this.
What do we keep and throw in the actual design?
Do you see other points?
