Fix for Chrome 33.0.1750.117 which won't read ::before content attribute if display:none is set on ::before element. Chrome 33.0.1750.117 releases on 20th Feb 2014. Could be bug in Chrome release or change in functionality. This commit uses different method to hide :before content
