Quick Reply/Quote freezeup

I did some testing.

Open Firefox, navigate to this thread, click Quote for your post and start
timing immediately (just seconds in my head).  Quick Reply window pops up
and just a second later the text of your post appears.  Firefox and Quick
Reply stop accepting any input and after a couple clicks (Not Responding)
appears in the title bar.  After 12 seconds I can again use Firefox.

This only happens the first time I try to use Quick Reply/Quote after
opening Firefox.  Subsequent uses work fine.  Issue reappears after I close
and restart Firefox.

I thought this was some sort of caching issue...like maybe emoticons were
downloading or something, but during the lock-up there is no network activity.

Does this still occur on the nightlies?  I've never seen this behavior.
