I would like to re talk about this issue

i know is been some time now i came across this one and add a comment on it

Even if this can be more on c++ side ... maybe there is a solution for this Because this sharpness issue are really a big probleme for any use of rawpy in photogrammetry scenario

what can be done ?

Not an issue in rawpy. Feel free to report to upstream libraw package: https://www.libraw.org/.
