.translation files are auto-generated by Godot Engine and contain preprocessed information extracted from other translation sources, like CSV files. These files might update whenever the project is saved, even without adding new translations.
Keeping these files in the repository will pretty much always create merge-conflicts (some exceptions, depending on how the file is updated and detected as changed).
Removing these as soon as possible would be very important for a somewhat faster and more easy workflow for handling pull requests.
