Application does not start and bugs the camera also #47

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start the application
2. Sometimes nothing happens and I need to actually start it again.
3. Screen freezes at the end either way.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I see just blank screen after starting the application. The camera stops 
working properly for other applications also ("Unable to access camera 
hardware"). Worst thing is that this remains even after AndAR uninstall :-/

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Latest from market. On Galaxy S with Android 2.2.1 (multiple versions of 
Darky's ROM)

Please provide any additional information below.

same problem here since updating and running stock 2.2.1 dutch JS5 (later 
replaced kernel with voodoo_stable_5.4.1)on galaxy S GT-I9000. 
still an issue, no matter which kernel. previously running JPA without any 
troubles whatsoever.

PS my camera app itself is running just fine. problem with goggles, 3d compass 
and layar apps that cannot access the camera hardware.
