Top differences in NumberConsonants and NumberVowels between sister languages in the Oceanic tree #48

Hi all,

Following our CoOL meeting last week, we have an updated version of phoneme inventories, so I redid the algorithm looking at sister languages in the Oceanic tree (pruned for languages we have phoneme inventories for) and their differences in consonants and vowels numbers.

I have highlighted top four differences for both cases, however, I would only call out this pair as a striking outlier: 18 vowel difference: Aragure_1512 (12) & Canala_19 (30)

I fixed the Malekula profiles and regenerated Angela’s data set with Mary’s changes for Hawaiian and Marquesan. Attached is the latest version. I’ll have to check Aragure tomorrow as I need to do some other stuff now
