Custom Ringtones not found

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Add a custom mp3 to <mountpoint>/media/audio/ringtones (or notifications 
or alarms)
2. Configure SMS popup notification sound.  The the custom ringtones are 
not present. 
3. The available ringtones in SMS popup are not the same in People-
>Ringtones either.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Verizon Droid Eris Android v1.5

Disregard.  SMS Popup can't access the custom ringtones when the sd card is 
mounted on 
usb.
