Notification Icon in status bar won't go away upon replying to sms

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Receive New SMS
2. Hit reply to view message
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

The expected output would be that once I hit reply, the notification in the
status bar would disappear. Instead, it can compound with other
notifications unless I clear it manually.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

I am using SMSpopup 1.0.8, on cyanogenmod 4.2.15, on a G1. The default
notifications in the messaging app are disabled.

I should point out that two notifications appear, but only one goes away upon 
viewing
the message. Another stays behind.

Sorry, This isn't a bug on your part. I discovered that it was due to another
conflicting app (now uninstalled). Sorry for your time.
