Does not always pop up new text message alert #172

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. I really have no way of reproducing this issue.  It happens randomly with 
any contact in my contacts list.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

The pop up simply does not show.  Instead, I end up finding the new text 
message myself in my inbox list, never knowing it had arrived earlier.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

When I visit the application section of the app, it shows:
SMS Popup version 115

However, it should be whatever the latest version is out there because I always 
stay up-to-date.  According to the Android Market, the latest version is 1.0.9 
and this should be what I have installed.

I'm using the following phone with these OS specs:

Samsung Moment SPH-M900
Firmware version: 2.1
Baseband Version: S:M900.8.0S.DE03

I might add that I've been using this app for quite a while now and never had 
this problem.  Now I did recently update my android software so I'm not sure if 
that may have anything to do with it.  But the fact that the app works in most 
cases and randomly does this makes me suspect a bug in the app.

could your problem be related to Issue 203 ? or does it seem more random? read 
that over and let everyone know :)

A fully revamped version of SMS Popup is now available in the Google Play 
Store:

I am closing out all old issues/bugs that relate to SMS Popup <=1.10 as so much 
was changed in this version. Please create new issues if you see them in the 
latest update.
