Getting double notifications; Cliq doesn't have "notifications" under "settings." #80

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. I go to Settings but there's no single Notifications options.
2. Under Sounds & ringtones, there's a place to CHOOSE your notification
sound/ringtone,
but no option to NOT have one.
3. I did fine where to uncheck the option for blinking LEDs.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Maybe I'm just an idjit, but I can't find a simple Notifications toggle.
Instead I have the choice of which tone to pick for notifications.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Whatever was offered in December 2009. No updates are available right now, so
this
should be the latest.

My phone is a Cliq with latest update. Enough info?

Please provide any additional information below.

What settings screen are you looking under? The one in the application menu, or
the
settings menu from within the messaging screen?

Messaging notification settings aren't in the system Settings, it should be in
the
messaging app settings. Go to the system messaging app, hit the menu key and
there
should be a settings option. Choose this and see if there is a way to turn off
notifications for the messaging app.

Thank you! Both of you. I went to settings under the messaging apps and found
I had
text message notifications checked. Unchecked, problem solved!

Thank you again,
te
