Sending signals to HP Openview #469

Hello All,

   I don't know much about SNMP.   What i want to do is

I have one application(Say Monitor) which monitors status of some applications running on the system. (e.g. say winword us running or not)

if Winword is not running i want my Monitor application to send signals to HP Openview which is running on some other machine. is this possible with this SNMP suit?

Please please help me...
