The VS Code registry only supports a subset of semver, so for nightly releases we resort to a patch equal to the publication date. I noticed, however, that the minor version number is +1 with respect to the latest proper version, which we shouldn't do because its confusing. So instead of publishing 0.9.20240714 we should publish 0.8.20240714.
