Users Stories #38

There should be a place for users (CSPs) to submit their user stories and high level objectives. It could be structured similarly to the CCDPs. The user stories should be used to inform the cloud native best practices.

@xmulligan CCDPs stands for?

@electrocucaracha CNF Conformance Definition Proposal (CCDP) https://github.com/cncf/cnf-wg/tree/master/ccdps

Totally agree @xmulligan

For example, part of the success of cloud native in the enterprise is the heavy tie in with DevOps. "You code it, you operate it" for shorts.

In the Telco networks, the folks responsible for procurement are very different than the folks that actually operate the network. So how will we as telecom networks operators meant to benefit from the transition to Cloud Native? It will be great to see some user stories from the operators involved in this activity.

@jambig this split between procurement and operation is changing (it has to, anyway). @xmulligan Do you have an example of user story?

vukg commented 3 years ago

We (devops ar CSPs) are acrually defining technical requirements for CNFs incl. cloud nativeness. These end up in RFQs as mandatory requirements, so we make sure that what purchasing people purchase actually fits. Will write some stories in coming weeks...

xmulligan commented 3 years ago

We should have both use cases and user stories to justify best practices in the real world
