Write-up #8

Some things to consider when we are doing the write up that I noticed are in the rubric:

(1) Including a short discussion on the resources necessary to implement our recommendation. (2) Include a problem statement in the beginning of our code… “what are we trying to figure out?” (3) Reporting at least one actionable recommendation (what should Smith DO with our findings?).

I think that based on our data graphic, we could have Smith print new copies of the MacLeish Map that are color coded to show the difficulty of each trail and where certain landmarks are. This way hikers can determine if they want to hike to a specific landmark, go for a leisurely hike, or try a more "rigorous" hike at MacLeish (even though technically all of the trails are considered easy according to Shenandoah). This would be a very low cost implementation since Smith would only have to pay for ink and paper. Additionally what Smith could also do is laminate like 50 copies so that they can be used in the rain, hiking, camping, whatever and then be returned to a placeholder near the large map at the entrance of MacLeish - an idea that would further save Smith money in the long run.
