Select 10 or more songs and drag them from a Music.app playlist onto Finder.
Expected: If they are all locally downloaded and DRM-free (i.e. were added via file or purchased), they should all end up in Finder.
Observed: It's quite common for me to only end up with ≈half the files in Finder.
This seems to be due to some behaviour where it is "Determining Gapless Playback" when you do this. If you only drag out one song, it might be delayed for a few songs. If you drag out a few, some of them will just be dropped.
The internet doesn't suggest a way to turn off this gapless playback (which I don't want to turn off in general, but it could be handy to turn off temporarily just to see if that helps). 🤷
