iCloud Drive folders sometimes show a dotted cloud icon even when they seem to have completely finished syncing.
This persists for a long time — minutes, hours, or even more, even after sync operations that only took seconds. In the screenshot above, the column even claims that only 656 KB are left to sync.
This is not an issue with "Calculate all sizes". I have that enabled for all other folders. It can take a while to update if you've transferred a lot of files or very big files to a folder, but it never happens for folders at this scale.
It's not just happening for a single folder, so it's not just a single "cursed folder" glitch. But it doesn't happen for every folder either.
There could theoretically be other sync events, like pending deletions to be sent to the server. But if those are still holding things up for so long, that sounds like there's a bug in the sync engine. It's not like I'm deleting or moving tens of thousands of files, only a few dozen at most.
