I was annoyed that I would have to take up three inventory spaces with Atlas passes (in the early game, when I was constantly limited by inventory), but luckily I actually searched early and found on that an Atlas v3 pass is sufficient.o/
The game did not make that clear to me. Given that technologies usually stack (i.e. every upgrade adds to the performance of an exosuit/ship/vehicle as long as you don't overload it, rather than any upgrade making a similar upgrade redundant), this is not intuitive.
