iPad freezes video (but not audio) sometimes when going to picture-in-picture #209

  1. Start a video in an app that supports picture-in-picture.
  2. Switch to an app without video.

Expected: the video goes to picture-in-picture and keeps playing with video.

Observed: the video freezes but the audio continues.

This only happens to me sometimes, but I've been encountering this for so long that I don't even remember when it started.

The workaround is simple: switch back to the video app, then back to the other app again. If I do this once or twice, the bug usually goes away.
