This no longer seems to happen, requiring a full restart of the app and then half a dozen clicks to get back to the playlist you were working on.
Better hope you remembered to do this for all songs you wanted to do it for, so that you don't have to do this multiple times.
In one case, I even observed that the song was permanently suck on cloud status "Apple Music", but I think this is due to a different bug where it can't properly match up songs that are available on Apple Music, but where only a different version of the song is available in iTunes due to region locking.
