version of readline #1

Hi,

I was wondering if there's a particular reason why the readline version within https://github.com/lgirdk/meta-gplv2/tree/oe31/recipes-core/readline is at 5.2, the latest readline is 8.2 and I've been running into issues on it with my project. Any plans to upgrade, has it been done already (in a dev branch?), what's the plan?

readline 5.2 is GPLv2 while newer versions are GPLv3 (https://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/readline). If your build uses the meta-gplv2 layer then there must have been at some point a deliberate choice to avoid GPLv3.
