Desert background has low quality #3

On iOS devices (confirmed with iPad Mini) the background (https://github.com/lgp-dbug/lgp-dbug.github.io/blob/3c37fe0c2fc2e18e24c1e3121c1023224ff0a1a3/img/bg.jpg) appears VERY pixelated.

And what could be the solution for this?

PS: In my smartphone, with Android 2.3 and a shitty browser, it shows good.

It seems to be an iOS problem.
