Importing and using a FreeMind 0.9 map in Xmin 3.0.2 is still extremely slow and buggy #49

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Take a FreeMind 0.9 600 kb map
2. Import it in XMind 3.0.2

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

* The import takes a very long time, about a minute or so on a Centrino Duo
Laptop with 2 Gb of RAM
* Every operation is very slow: folding and unfolding for example.
* Sometimes the workspace window does not update correctly and is corrupted
* I tried to import one map and split it in smaller Xmind maps, but the
process is much too slow to be usable. I had to give up for the time being.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

XMind 3.0.2, Debian/Ubuntu package
Ubuntu Linux 32 bits

Do all your freemind files have this problem? Can you share that 0.9 file here?

Hi,

It happens with every large (> 100kb) FreeMind file. Here is my 600kb file.
Apart
from the fact that the text is scrambled for privacy reasons the structure of
the
FreeMind file is totally identical to my production file.

Regards
