FirePHP does not print to console when "open firebug in a new window"

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. "open firebug in a new window" as opposed to in a panel at the bottom of
the page.
2. Hit a page that is sending FirePHP console writes

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Console message, logs, etc.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
0.1.0.5 on Firefox 3 with Windows XP
