Census population of Zip Code Tabulation Areas which one should we choose? #45

We have years 2011-2017 for population data. I will stick to 2017 unless there is an objection. @cchoirat @lhenneman ? I will preprocess it and put it inside the package.

Since ZIP code population isn't strictly necessary for any of the core functionality of the package, does it make more sense to just provide instructions for where to get the data and not include the data with the package?

You merge it with the crosswalk to make a new crosswalk with population data. The new one is 1.7 MB. The original one is 406 KB. I do not think it will hurt to clean it up and only use the necessary variables in the dataset, but this is your decision.

Okay let's keep it. But we should make sure it's in the documentation that we use 2017 population.
