Assess the need for and design an enclosure for the controls board.

This needs to be:

Easy to manufacture (think 3D printing)
Allow the necessary wires and status indicators to pass through
Include mounting tabs/holes for the board
Allow visibility to critical electronics (either a clear cover or partially open face)
