Right now only ALSA rawMIDI is supported.

Yes, we would need someone to write a driver. But, you can also use the built-in DIGMID driver, or tunnel the rawmidi data to timidity.

Anyway, as I'm no expert on MIDI at all - could you (or someone else) tell me what would be the advantage of a non-rawMIDI driver?
