Disambiguate custom_clone overloads #268

gcc 8 (at least) realized that the supposed-to-be-for-vectors overload actually could be applied to scalar T as well.

This was based on a bug report by Lorenzo Campoli, so I'm hoping he'll drop in to confirm or deny that it fixed the problem for him, but since it definitely fixes the bug as it manifested for me I'm going to merge without waiting.
