I've just tested the new link verification feature being introduced in #Mastodon: it already works with #Liberapay profiles. If you've connected your Mastodon account to your Liberapay profile in https://liberapay.com/about/me/edit/elsewhere then a link to your Liberapay in the metadata of your Mastodon profile will appear as "verified".

Did you know that Liberapay allows creators to introduce themselves in multiple languages? As of today 10% of profile descriptions are available in 2 languages, and 1% in 3 languages or more. #i18n #stats

To update your profile, and maybe add a new language, go to https://liberapay.com/about/me/edit/statement

A bit earlier today, I've written a Mastodon post about the fact that Dotclear registered today an account on LP. This was done after I've discussed it with its actual main developer/maintainer Franck Paul who had already a personal account on LP. I encouraged him to make a team account for the project itself in order to improve its visibility on LP. I then advise him to make a profile both in English and in French (he's French and a relevant part of Dotclear's community is speaking French) which he did quickly

But somehow, the 2 posts on Mastodon (I made one in English and one in French) that I wrote seem to have disappeared. Any idea of what happened?

@trebmuh I deleted the toots, mostly because the Dotclear team can't actually receive donations since Franck hasn't connected any Stripe or PayPal account.

@Changaco ok, I've just told Franck to act on that.

BTW, is there any possibility for me to check if a user/team is setup properly on this side? I've got a few people/projects to talk with now that LP is back on track.

@trebmuh Look at the "What payment methods are available?" paragraph of the donation page. https://liberapay.com/Dotclear/donate now states that donations to Dotclear are processed through PayPal, but yesterday it indicated that donations couldn't be processed.

Nice to see that Franck acted quickly.
