Hi, I wonder if you would agree that decentralization could help Liberapay make a bigger impact bearing in mind the web3 trend.
We are building a decentralized micro-donation processor with a focus on freedom, privacy and efficiency. A model with deposits and withdrawals without cryptocurrency: donors deposit funds at creators they trust and then use them for anonymous feeless micro-donations. A hybrid from trusted relationships between creators and their audience for private and secure end-to-end payments and trust-less horizontally scalable public ledger technology for transaction processing.
This is a follow-up to https://github.com/liberapay/salon/issues/288. We got rid of cryptocurrency since then, committed to FLOSS and community governance. Let's see if we can cooperate.
I don't like the idea of putting country flags in payment processors (in the case of your project, the Ukrainian flag). The idea sounds interesting though.
