This is a pretty basic port to python3, that also retains python2 compatibility.

I've contributed to python-fuse before, back in 200x, and I'm also the maintainer for the Debian python-fuse package. I'd be willing to maintain it upstream if you'd like.

Thanks! I'd like to see a few more contributions before I hand things over, but I have no principal objections.
