As the following issue https://github.com/libimobiledevice/idevicerestore/issues/671 has proven, idevicerestore version 1.0.0 is enough out of date to cause problems.
Four years is enough of time to deserve a new tag/release, especially since the version in the repositories of distributions is going to be from the releases found here.
It's not like there were no commits since 2020 to make it understandable why no newer tags were assigned.
It'd be nice if actually multiple tags were released (1.0.1, 1.1.0, ...) from the commits along those years, besides one for the latest.
