Allow access to raw file #164

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
I would like feedparser to preserve the raw data downloaded and expose it
as part of the returned dict.

Sometimes it is just helpful to have access to things like comments, for
example when trying to support claimcodes.

Please close this bug.

@elsdoerfer: This request is closely related to issue 133, which will allow you
to download the raw data separately and pass the headers in for feedparser's
benefit. This obviously isn't a duplicate of #133, but when that bug is closed
you'll be able download the URL separately and pass it in to be parsed without
losing any of feedparser's HTTP header-based features.

I'd be fine with #133.

I'm going to mark this one as WontFix since the fix for issue 133 will solve
your problem. If you're one of the people who starred this bug please star
issue 133 instead.
