What will be the future for C# libp2p and current status? #4

Hey! I'm currently working on a Metaverse project in Unity (uses C#) using P2P, so I'm searching for the best P2P option out there. After 2 weeks of researching this topic, I think libp2p is the best option for my use case but seems like this port for C# is still WIP. I don't want to use it for a production project right now... just for a proof of concept.

I wanted to know:

Hi, I'm the inital (but inactive) author of this port and as nobody in the organizaton has yet updated the project to reflect that, or given the responsibility to someone else, I will answer you as best I can.

  • if there are any plans to continue porting libp2p to C#.

This project is archived on my part and no further development towards a full port is planned.

  • if this port is still WIP or can be used for some particular use cases.

The last commit is 7 years old, and is in a totally unusable state, so I can assure you will not be using this project in production any time soon. If not the maintainers of the libp2p organization find someone to take over the project, I guess you'll have to look elsewhere for a suitable library.
