pd crashes with segmentation fault #37

Hello

I am trying to use ableton_link but the external keeps crashing Pd as soon as I send the connect message. I have run pd in the terminal with verbose but the only message after crash is Segmentation fault (core dumped) I am running pd 0.54.0 in an ubuntu 22.04

any help fixing this will be appreciated.

are you using the package from the Ubuntu repositories (apt-get install pd-ableton-link) or did you compile yourself?

Sorry, yes, I left out that info when I reported this. I downloaded it from deken. I have now tried the one uploaded to the repository but I still get a crash. This time when I disconnect the object.
