Description

many of your provided test servers can't handle 800+ mbit/s download, so the service does not provide useful results

with the official vodafone speedtest i get such results

and now the results of your servers:

(can you see which server was used by the result id? i selected every available server from top to bottom)

download (2)

the results differ very much, from 9.5 to 968 Mbps. and it's not that i have a bad connection to the US in general. more like some servers are pretty bad

it should be tested if these servers have bad performance in general, also from other locations. if there are performance issues with some servers, they should be fixed or the servers removed

Server

Every info you can provide about your server: web server, database, PHP version, ... as well as server-side speedtest settings If possible, provide an URL to your speedtest so we can check it

Client

Chromium 91.0.4472.106, NixOS 21.05.1076.bad3ccd099e, Vodafone Cable Internet 1000 Mbit/s down

Steps to reproduce

Expected behaviour

get similar speed test result as with other speed test services

Screenshots

If necessary, add screenshots of the test. F12 > Network screenshots can be particularly useful

I know that some of the public servers are under heavy load, but I've never seen it go as low as 7mbps, I'll see what I can figure out, maybe disable those servers temporarily.

Alkanov commented 3 years ago

I am experiencing similar issues but with the upload speed, my NIC speed is 1G and my ISP's service is 200Mb, there is no way I am getting more than 100Mb upload, much less above 1G

I running it in lan with container on a server. Mostly of the time it is now showing correct results Lan speed 1Gbps, it should give around 900Mbps but it only show 100Mbps. Could it be the problem with the docker's NAT network. And Upload is not showing. Speed below 100Mbps is correct, but above it which is not.

I'm running into the same issue. In my 1Gbps LAN to the server in the same LAN, UL/DL never exceeds 70Mbps.

I run it on Apache 2.4 with PHP FPM. I know this configuration can have problems with the flush construction being used by Librespeed. See here for example; https://stackoverflow.com/questions/33628918/disabling-output-buffer-with-apache-and-php-fpm-via-mod-proxy The suggestion however doesn't change anything.

I'm on a 100/10Mbps connection and I consistently get 125-127Mbps down and 237Mbps up...

Latest version of LIbrespeed, running as a docker container on unRAID 6.9.2.
