PlayStation TV quits app on core load #11949

Open the16bitgamer opened 3 years ago

the16bitgamer commented 3 years ago

Description

When running any ROM from any systems (tested on GBA, GBC, NES, SNES, 32x, Game Gear, and Genesis) from the playlist or through load content, Retroarch will attempt to load, and when the ROM should be running, Retroarch will quit and return the player to the Live Area.

This issue is only present on the PlayStation TV and not the Vita 2000 (running the same firmware) or on a Vita 1000.

Expected behavior

When running a ROM the core should load and the game should start

Actual behavior

The core might be loading, but when the ROM is loaded or when it starts Retroarch is force quit and returns to the live area.

Steps to reproduce the bug

  1. Load Retroarch app on a PlayStation TV
  2. Find and run a ROM (can be from any system)

Bisect Results

Issue started happening when I updated Retroarch on my PS TV from 1.8.9 to 1.9.1. Issue persisted after a fresh install and downloading a new copy of the data package from buildbot. Reverting Retroarch back to 1.8.9 fixed issue.

PlayStation TV is running firmware 3.65
