Version 1.9 disc naming issue #12203

Closed irodeyourmom closed 3 years ago

irodeyourmom commented 3 years ago

First and foremost consider this:

Description

Multi-disc ps1 games incorrectly labeling after scan

Expected behavior

Final fantasy vii (disc 1 of 3) Final fantasy vii (disc 2 of 3) Final fantasy vii (disc 3 of 3)

Actual behavior

Final fantasy vii (disc 2 of 3) Final fantasy vii (disc 3 of 3) Final fantasy vii (disc 3)

(Disc 3) operates in game normally as disc 1, just for some reason being labeled as disc 3

Steps to reproduce the bug

I have re-downloaded roms, rescanned, reinstalled retroarch, problem persists every time you scan directory. I have also done this across 2 different operating systems and 3 different computers. I upgraded from retroarch version 1.4 to 1.9, so I'm not certain if it's an issue directly with the upgrade. I'm one instance I did a fresh install of 1.9 and the problem persists.

Bisect Results

Disc 1 is being labeled as whatever the last disc of the game is for whatever reason. I have found this happens so far with ff7, legend of dragoon, and resident evil 2

I was asked by the discord mod to post this as it isn't just ff7.
