Dolphin Games Crash on Launch While Casting Via Steam Link #12824

I am having an issue where some gamecube games will crash during launch/launch with black screen (audio still there). This issue only occurs when i'm casting to my 4k TV via steam link, if i open them on my 1440p monitor they are fine. Any idea why this would be happening? Specific games are Mario power tennis, Luigi's mansion, and Warioworld.

Driver = Vulkan Audio = Xaudio Input = Xinput Resolution = 1920x1080 Vsync = on Widescreen hack - on via Dolphin setting Rewind feature is off

Like i said it all works perfect when running from my PC, wondering if its a steam overlay issue or what.

I have this same issue. I have RetroArch installed as a standalone app (not via the Steam store) and Dolphin launches/runs GameCube games perfectly on its own.

I wanted to play on my phone so I installed the Steam Link app from the Play Store and tested my regular Steam games and everything worked great. I then added RetroArch as a non-Steam game. I opened Steam Link on my phone and launched RetroArch. The CMB menu loaded up and things were looking good. I navigated to the list of my GameCube games and fired up a game with the Dolphin core. I get the regular transition screen after launching a game then immediately get a black screen with a red network warning icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen. A few seconds later, RetroArch "crashes" and I'm dumped back to the Steam Big Picture launcher for RetroArch. No e of the other Steam games or emulated games get the red network icon or a black screen, and RetroArch never crashes using any other cores.

I tested NES, SNES, N64 and Genesis games and they all work just as well as playing locally on PC - so it appears to be an explicit issue with the Dolphin core and GameCube games?

I have not tested if the same issue persists when using the Steam version of RetroArch.
