really all you need is Xcode which has everything and Github lol. the instructions they give really make it painless. now you can take the deb and use something to make an ipa out of it but you would still have to sign the dylib files in reality we can not offer a pre packed ipa because you would still have to resign the dylibs on your own. a bit of google can teach you a lot about Xcode code signing and the rest is just follow the instructions.

Yea. I need to update my vm before I can use it. Furthermore... How much different is mame4alliOs than reteoArch in terms of these files you say needs signing?.. The dev for mameiOS provides IPA for non-jailbreak and all that needs done is to sign it and install. How is retro is any different?...

because retroarch dynamically loads cores. thus each of these cores needs to be signed. its not the same of just a quick resign of an ipa like it used to be. iOS 7 changed a few things. On Dec 23, 2013, at 1:27 AM, cangdu notifications@github.com wrote:

Is Icade support broken in retroarch 0.9.9.6? I have my icade paired in my iPad air, and icade enabled in retroarch settings..but it's not working..

I don't think ios 7 icade support was added by that time.
If you can recommend a free file host, preferably one without a sign up, I will upload an unsigned IPA of a recent stable version for you to try.

I removed some of the larger (mame, fba) and slower cores to keep the file size down. Again you will need to sign the RetroArch binary as well as all of the .dylib files contained in RetroArch.app/modules. This package should work for jailbroken devices too, but I haven't tested it.
Please read issue #431 for known bugs and report any bugs you find there too.
As an aside, it may be best for response time to not to have long conversations about bugs in a closed issue.
@meancoot You are the greatest!!! I have been dying to try pcsx_rearmed on my ipad 4 JB ios 6.0 since retroarch was released but its particular use of DYNAREC (no trouble with the 32x core, ppsspp or nds4ios) causes device reboots on ios < 6.1. After I saw you had gotten the interpreter working after notaz added the switch, and that you had said it was full speed, I knew I had to have it.... and now I do!!
I was tearing my hair out trying to decide if I was to risk everything going to ios7 and now I suppose I don't have to! playstation one with a playstation 3 controller on the ipad is now a reality for me. Merry Christmas (to me only if you did not celebrate) and a happy new year to you!
P.S. If you were me with an Ipad4, would you upgrade to 7.0.4 and JB before the window closes, or sit pretty at ios6.0? Will retroarch run any better or worse?
Go to 7.0.4 there will be no performance loss. Plus you can use the dynarec core and save some battery by putting less stress on the CPU so you can play longer.

How are you guys pairing your ps3 controller to iPad with iOS 7? I've tried the sixaxis pair tool, it states the controller was paired with the iPad air but when I turn on BT on the iPad air it asks for a pin code when I press the sync button on the ps3 controller... -_-

How do you add roms?
edit - this is was resolved many version ago.
I have downloaded the latest build this evening, and compiled in Xcode with iOS 7. I updated my ipad to iOS 7 GM and downloaded the newest Xcode and iTunes 11.1 beta. So this version will compile in Xcode 4.6 and works on iOS 7 - no icade support in non-jailbroken. Tried again in Xcode 5 with new SDK, and no icade support in non-jailbroken ipad or iphone. @meancoot is this something with in the new iOS?
