Xbox360 controller not recognized after unplugging/replugging it #3091

I use a Xbox360 Controller to play on my Rpi3, with the latest xboxdrv (0.8.8) running as a init.d daemon. When I unplug and plug the controller back, it is assigned to the 1st player as intended but it doesn't respond in RA. I have to restart RA for the controller to work again.

Is there any way to fix this ? Is this the normal behaviour ? In case it's useful, xboxdrv can run a script when a controller is plugged/unplugged (such a script could send a command to RA to reset the controllers).

@natinusala Is this still an issue? Does it happen with the kernel xpad driver?

I think you can close this, it's been two years now

If there is a real bug to be fixed with enough details to diagnose then it should be fixed. That said the bug could be in xboxdrv, I have similar issues when I had to use it with wine...
