[Wii U] Official Gamecube Controller to Wii U HID adapter: Z Button non-functional. #5166

Description

In RetroArch for Wii U, if using the official Gamecube adapter for the Wii U, the Z button on the controllers do not work, and you cannot bind them in the config menu, it doesn't respond to presses of the Z button.

Expected behavior

To be able to bind actions to the Z button and actually have it function.

Actual behavior

Like in the description, the Z button isn't being recognized whatsoever. Tried with new and old Gamecube controllers alike, definitely not any fault in the controllers themselves.

Steps to reproduce the bug

  1. Connect an official Gamecube to Wii U USB adapter, with one controller attached.
  2. Start RetroArch, set max users high enough to be able to pick the controller.
  3. Try to bind a button, and when it prompts you to hit the button you want, try hitting Z.
  4. It won't respond.

Bisect Results

No idea when this started happening, I just started using RetroArch on Wii U yesterday.

What input driver are you using? You can find that in the advanced setting under Drivers.
