An interesting little thing to have (or at least something I would find pretty useful) would be to have a toggle that enables display of the clock at all times, not just when calling up the Menu.
It would be handy when you're so completely immersed in the content of your game and you literally forget about what time it is, but I also think it would be convenient for speedrunners and for time-dependent actions, RNG manipulation, etc.
