Description

No sound after start RetroArch

The issue seems to be.

Could also be cc686ba9bcdd8a0cb36165fdb7229282f682d3f0. Bisecting would help a lot here.

I think I checked XAudio after the recent COM changes and it worked, but it wouldn't hurt to double-check that.

So I guess @orbea was right and it's caused by 0cff7eefa7c7580d22191ad88e44b5531940d642. It works fine for me though. Could you temporarily reset your config file to see if it's not caused by some other option?

Just noticed this as well:

so yeah, it's definitely COM initialization again and probably related to #7985

This one is likely caused by not calling CoInitialize on the video thread. No idea why it works fine for me without it on both MSVC and MinGW...
