Playstation Playlists not Generating on Nintendo Switch #9233

Open MetalNeo opened 5 years ago

MetalNeo commented 5 years ago

Description

RetroArch is not automatically finding PlayStation files for playlists on the Nintendo Switch version.

Expected behavior

RetroArch should generate a new playlist for the .cue files it is directed to.

Actual behavior

RetroArch is scanning the directory/files, but not adding them to a playlist.

Steps to reproduce the bug

  1. Install RetroArch for Nintendo Switch.
  2. Import Content and select the folders/.cue files for a Playstation title.
  3. Return to the main menu to see there is no Playstation playlist.

Bisect Results

I first noticed this two days ago (7/29), when I was trying to add my Playstation games to a playlist to generate thumbnails.

Miscellaneous Notes

I have installed PCSX-ReARMed from the nightly. I have also tried enabling "Scan without core match" with no change in result.

I have tested these same files (.bin + .cue) on my linux desktop and the Desktop version is able to import the .cue files.

I have also tested cartridge-based games on the Switch with no issues thus far.

The issue seems to be specific to the Nintendo Switch version, but I'm not sure if it's tied to Playstation games or disc-based games in general.

Scanning PSX is spotty, use external tools.
