Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island crashes retroarch #79

I have Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island USA rom from the no-intro set from 2018-05-13. When I try to load it with any of the three bsnes-mercury cores(performance, balanced, accuracy) , it causes Retroarch to crash. When I load the "(USA,Asia)(Rev 1)" rom it loads fine in the bsnes-mercury cores. I'll call the first rom 1.0 and the rev1 rom 1.1, for simplification. The 1.0 rom that doesn't work in bsnes-mercury works in bsnes-hd beta, mesen-s, and snes9x - current.

I believe the rom previously worked in bsnes-mercury also, but it's been a long time.

My retroarch log is here https://drive.google.com/open?id=1TLlfPkL5sCpXE5Xmjt2xU39mLPLbkpPE

My Retroarch version is 1.8.4 and my core version is 4a38262. I'm on Windows 10 x64 edit: I updated my retroarch to 1.8.7 and it made no difference

I believe the game runs if I disable retroachievements, so it may be related somehow.

Yeah, looks like it's crashing on the achievements memory stuff.
