i compiled this on retropie to see how it ran. #21

at first i thought the path was bad so i dont code to replace the ../ it never helped so I decided to check the sdl error.

grants original path /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/daphne/roms grants new path /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/daphne/roms SDL failed: SDL not compiled with stdio support

I know this is a sdl retropie end but it just to make the issue known
