I'm a purist. I like to have the bios boot screen similar to hardware but also like it to proceed to the game after the fact. This poses an issue.
You can have it boot directly into the game ala external bios using the autogame setting which is then saved via the firmware.dfc or you are stucking clicking again to load the game from within the bios. The other option is disabling the external bios which leaves you without the nintendo boot screen.
The first option is ideal except you run up against the inability to re enter the bios at any point without deleting your firmware.dfc which results in losing ALL your saved settings and thus having to redo them all each and every time.
An option to force boot into the bios (aka boot without cartridge) would be great.
This/the implementation goes well above my head but im sure you get the idea.
