Mouse buttons not working in Retroarch #72

RPi3 Librelec8.0.2 Gamestarter2.9.0 RetroArch1.6.3 Trying to get usb mouse input for games, I can move the pointer, but not click left or right mouse buttons. My gamepad has buttons mapped to virtual mouse clicks that work, but I would rather use the mouse. Tried modifying every setting I can in RA with no success.. Thanks
